I am a 26 year old goofball who loves traveling, politics, and hiking with my two lovably misbehaved dogs.
Up until a recent move to the Raleigh-Durham area, I worked primarily for technical consulting firms in the DoD & Intel space, in Washington DC. My professional claim to fame has typically been that I’m well spoken, believe in a work hard/play hard perspective, and am constantly looking to build a better mousetrap.
I recently embarked on a mission to learn programming. My current measure of technical aptitude is that I’m at a point where it is less inconvenient to learn a new programming language than it is to feel left out when other people are having conversations about them.
For fun, I am a voracious reader, like drawing & sculpting, and take trips to visit family back up in Baltimore, MD.
I decided to start Lady Dev because of how few women in technology there are. (Statistically. This is not JT Kaufman’s made up numbers extravaganza.) I felt as if pooling resources for people in these fields, or considering a role in them, was a great way to continue learning to code.
